Artist's Description
Clear Creek runs through Golden, Colorado. Spirits in the Wind owner Pam Eggemeyer kindly shared her photo for my inspiration. I was captivated by the reflections of the fall trees in the water and the purple mountain backdrop. The top of the mountain is inscribed with an "M"....put there by local School of Mines students in the 1930s.
About Anne Gifford
Anne Gifford is an award winning artist and the eight time poster artist for Colorado's Bolder Boulder 10K Memorial Day Race, one of the largest road races in the United States. She began her career as a silkscreen artist. After 25 years of printmaking, Anne now works with watercolor, building successive layers of color to create her vibrant, rich, and detailed paintings. She has lived in Colorado since 1976 and finds inspiration in the natural beauty of the Rocky Mountains. Her paintings, like a pictorial journal, have chronicled her journey thus far.
